COVID-19 Changes to our Program

The Halfmoon Bay Childcare Centre is planning to re-open September 2020, with some changes to our programming. Dropping off and signing-in outside will be a challenge for everyone, but if we try to make it fun and positive for the children it will be easier.

In accordance with BCCDC, WCB, and Vancouver Coastal Health requirements and recommendations, we have changed some of our programs at the Halfmoon Bay Childcare Centre to be able to provide the safest early learning experience for everyone during this time while we all work through this pandemic together. Increased sanitization, increased outside programming, individualized and smaller group activities, social distancing measures and new sign-in/out processes including health checks are just some of the ways in which we are meeting the new parameters for safety and health.
